Captain Gary M. Sprague is in his 31^st  year with the Lakewood Police Department and is currently the Commander of the Investigative Division. Capt. Sprague is a member of numerous Law Enforcement Organizations including the IACP, Cuyahoga County Police Chief?s Association, OCPA, Infragard, ILETA, ASIS, IPMBA and is a JTTF Executive.  He also serves on a number of multi-jurisdictional committees. He holds certifications in Advanced CPTED and Advanced Crime Prevention.

ASIS Cleveland Member Rewards

        Eligibility:  Local Dues-paid, ASIS Cleveland Chapter Members are eligible to win Rewards.

• Officers are not eligible unless there is no winner in a category.

• An officer may be awarded the seminar registration, for example, and represent the chapter if a contributing member or a runner up who won chooses not to accept the prize.

• The same applies to other rewards.

Purpose:  To help your chapter grow and to prosper, by members working together to create increased opportunities to enhance the experience of chapter membership, and to contribute positively to the experience of being a successful professional in security.

 
      Participate and Contribute to Win:  By participating, attending local meetings, and significantly helping the chapter to grow and prosper in various ways, a number of rewards are available. You could win as we further develop the chapter to deliver positive experiences and benefits to members locally. One MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR reward to one member, but 2-5 below may result in multiple awards. .

 Win how? Regardless, you win by participating. Always. Fact. It?s a very positive experience to contribute to your profession and your peers, to work together, to be part of something larger than your own sphere that can contribute to your career and future, and to be recognized as a security professional for what you do. It wouldn?t be hard to agree with that. How can you help? Step up.

 Help how? ASIS Cleveland (local funds) is awarding members like you with rewards, benefits, and recognition for the following:  as appropriate during pandemic

1.   Hosting a meeting (or arranging/finding  any appropriate meeting location) at your facility, and to feature your organization on our website with a description, photo, directions, credit due, and with website (link) hyperlink to your organization website, if and as appropriate. If appropriate, a facility tour (security orientation). Food availability, or if outside catering can be provided, is required.

2.   Providing a high quality speaker from your organization or another org., someone you know, unquestioned expertise, or other speaker of interest to and appropriate to address our security membership. Maybe that?s you. And to feature the person, credentials, expertise, descriptions, brief bio, on our website. Afterward a link or links as appropriate to the person/organization.

3.   Bringing quality guests consistently to appropriate meetings like an HR person, law enforcement, attorneys, fellow security practitioners.

4.   Joining and actively participating with officers and fellow members on the Executive Committee, attending and participating in officer/Exec. Committee meetings, volunteering for an open role, or choosing tasks in agreement with governing officers.

5.   Assisting in helping the chapter grow in various and perhaps creative ways, and increasing recognition of the chapter in the security and general community. Open.

MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR AWARD:  Overall OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTING SECURITY MEMBER Reward:  a FREE ACCESS PASS, worth about $1,095.00, to ASIS Global Security Exchange (ASIS Exhibits and Seminars). Details below. ASIS Cleveland Officers will award one to one member. Contribution, depending, could be outside or above the reward areas listed above.

A $1,100, 4-day professional admission pass to ASIS Global Security and Exhibition in September

Award and Recognition Certificates, for display at your organization

Profiles and organizational displays of a person/company on the ASIS website including links to websites if applicable and appropriate

ASIS materials of various kinds ranging from Cross Pens to Security Publications to Pins, as beginning examples
