Design (CPTED)"

is being put on for Cleveland State University's Department of
Public Safety
and is presented by the National Crime
Prevention Institute at the University of Louisville from Monday
9/13-Thursday 9/16 from 8:00am-5:00pm.
"Crime Prevention Through
Environmental Design (CPTED)" focuses on:

CPTED concepts and principles

Behavior and the physical (built)
environment

The architectural process as it
relates to crime prevention
-
Implications of pedestrian and
vehicular traffic on crime opportunities
-
CPTED as a means of economic
revitilization
-
Planning Process including land
use/zoning, codes and ordinances
-
CPTED assessments and plan review
-
Data collection, analysis,
presentations and reports
-
Practical exercise involving site
visits.

Discussion of participant issues or
local problems
